One farmer named Jackson, living nine miles west of town, drove In with a wagon wag-on of six mules. An additional set of wheels had been put on the rear of the vehicle, while the floor of the wagon hzd been tripled in width and the seats wers built in stair-step fashion. - He drove for miles Inviting women to ride with, him. and when he arrived on Main street his wagon contained seventy-three seventy-three persons, and he was the only male present.
