I-The baxar which was hell here during last week, ending- Friday evening. w. a great financial I success, which was due to the very enerretlc work of the different committee. The work of Mrs. Freda Jackson, Mrs. Alice T. Steele and Walter Wilds is very commendable. This Is the fourth bazar which has been held In American Fork for the benefit of the four American Fork wards, and It has proved to be the most successful, netting; Edward Dlckerson of this place, while unloading un-loading potatoes In Salt Lake City during the early part of the week. Injured his back very badly, necessitating his being taken to the hospital. see Dr. Payne of Pennsylvania, nephew of Mrs. Joaiah Smith, who was burled here yesterday, came from Pennsylvania In response to a telegram tele-gram stating that Mrs. Smith waa ia a very critical condition. He arrived here shortly after her desth, but In time to attend the funeral. 1 see The mercantile firm of Thomas Bros, at Sunshine Sun-shine has gone out of business, being forced to do so by the unusually lanre rinks which they were compelled to take, everything; being sold entirely on credit. The remnant of their stock was transferred to their Fairfield store, where they will continue In business. Messrs. Leo Singleton. J. D. Shelley and David Smith, all of this place, returned lant evening; from a five days' chicken hunt in American Fork canyon. Mr. Singleton and Mr. Shelley were successful In begging; about fifty of the feathered variety. Mr. Smith went up with the Intention of fishing, but returned disheartened, not being; able to secure a single sin-gle fish. Ten ore teams were added to the force of the Wyoming mine freighters yesterday, and It Is expected that this number wilt be Increased. |
