Burns Instituted pro- ceedlngs for divorce against her husband,-Andrew C. Burns, in the District court today. Mrs. Burns alleges that the defendant, without any cause or excuse, has treated treat-ed her with great and extreme cruelty; that he Is an habitual drunkard and has been continually under the influence of liquor for the last ten years; that he is very abusive, has' called her the vilest names, and that he has threatened to take the life of the plaintiff in the event that she should attempt to get a divorce. di-vorce. t The prayer for Judgment contains six paragraphs, asking in addition to the decree for divorce, that she be given the custody of their six minor children; that she be decreed the owner of certain real estate ;n block 13. plat F, this city; that she be awarded alimony and $200 attorney s rees ana tne costs or me suit, and that a writ of injunction be issued restraining the defendant from doing anything to the injury of the plaintiff or her children. |
