Show I WIDOW OF ENGLISH MASON IS PENNILESS Alfred C. Curnow, an English Odd Fellow, who had been In America two 1 years, died yesterday of consumption, ' t leaving his wife and child destitute. Curnow was a member In good stand-""'Ing stand-""'Ing of the English branch of the Odd Fellows known as the Manchester Unity Friendly society. His widow called upon Noble Grand Paul of Salt Lake lodge No. 2 for aid yesterday, but he cannot give official assistance to her, as the two branches do not affiliate. Mr. Paul desires to meet members of - the English branch who may be here, that he may aid Mrs. Curnow to secure ,the funeral benefit to which she is entitled.--Mrs.-Curnow-Is almost destitute, desti-tute, and Is practically frtedless here. -She. desires to return to England' at tLonce. , . - .... |
