Show TRAINS MUCH DELAYED ' BY NORTHER IN TEXAS. Freight Traing Stuck in Snow Between Be-tween Trinidad and Fort Worth. TRINIDAD, Feb. 27. As a result of the recent heavy snowfall in northern north-ern Texas and northeastern New Mexico Mex-ico railroad traffic in that region is badly delayed. Several Colorado & Southern and Fort Worth & Denver City passenger and freight trains are stuck tn snowdrifts between this city and Fort Worth. It has been snowing along this line since Monday evening. The wind has been blowing fiercely and the railroad cuts are filled, in many places, with snow packed to a depth of fifteen feet. Texas railroads seldom have occasion to use snowplows, and thFort Worth Denver City Is absolutely abso-lutely helpless. Superintendent Cotter of the Colorado & Southern today sent snowploys south to make an attempt to open up the Fort Worth line. The Santa Fe trains are all several hours late. i |
