Met-calfr Met-calfr United States pension agent,- last night made the following statement I regarding the revival of the charges that he ordered Philippine prisoners to be shot: , . "I think it Is an attempt on the part of certain people to make political capital capi-tal out of any reports derogatory to the army in the Philippines, and at the Earns time an effort on the part of two or three members of the Twentieth Kansas to do me an injustice. "I never shot a Filipino prisoner myr Felf nor ordered others to do so. This fact has been satisfactorily established several times and can be again." , |
