OCR Text	Show WHITECAP OUTRAGE BY AN INDIANA MOB Young Girls and Negro Man Art Brutally Whipped With Barbed Wire. B LOOMING TON. Ind.. May 27.-Th!rty-eight unmasked men early Sunday broke into a house in East Ninth street and switched Misses Rebecca and Ida Steph-et.s, Steph-et.s, 18 and 16 years old. and also whipped Joe Shively, colored. E0 years old. The Stephens girls lived with their mother in the same house in which 8hively had a room. The negro was whipped with a barbed wire and was struck in the eye with brass knuckles. Rebecca was whipped with brbed wire, and Ida with applt switched? but neither is dangerously injured. Many of the whltecaps were recognized and warrants will be sworn out for their arrest.
