Show UNION PACIFIC GETS TRAIN INTO TOPEKA First Over That Boad Sine Beginning Begin-ning of th Great Flood on - May 29th. , I TOPEKA Kan., June 13. The Union Pacific railroad ran Its first train through Topeka since the beginning of the flood, May 29th. The line Is now open to 8t George, forty-five miles west, and a local train passed through at 11 o'clock today to Kansas City. From St. George west to Junction City the roadbed Is still Impassable. The Rock Island has Its wrecked track In running order In the flooded districts of the State save between Enterprise En-terprise and Ballna. A bad order bridge at Wilder is yet giving the Santa Fe trouble, also a section sec-tion of track near Bonner Springs. |
