Show EXCITING FINISH IN PROFESSIONAL RACE There was a programme of sprint races at the saucer track last night, among which was a half-mile handicap professional, profes-sional, which proved to be the most exciting ex-citing exhibition seen on the track this season. Hopper, with a handicap of fifteen fif-teen yards, won the event by a few inches over Hofman, the scratch man, in a driving driv-ing finish. Barns, with a handicap of fifty yards, took third place. The five-mile motor-paced race was captured cap-tured In easy style by Heagren. Llmberg attempted to follow Chapman's new single motor, with the result that Heagren, b hind a tandem, rode rings around the single sin-gle combination.
