June' IX The opening of the stock market was rather Irregular, but the speculative favorites of yesterday were generally a, fraction lower. The recovery carried Baltimore & Ohio Vi and other leaders a shade above yesterday's close, and there were also substantial gains elsewhere. The market came to a pause to await the appearance of the bank statement, which was regarded as strong. Efforts to take profits found a lighter demand de-mand for stocks and prices ran off. The reaction reached a point 6r over for all the leaders. St, Paul and Southern Paclflo Pacl-flo were carried a point under fast night, and the general list a fraction.
