President John C. Howard la now in tho East, It la stated, for tho purpose of completing arrannementsa for the Improvement of Yne plant, which will consist of tho erection of a number of additional still on the land recently purchaser! by the company and which lies immediately to tho west of tho company 'a refinery site. It waa admitted at the headquarters nf the Utah Keflning company today that the company contemplated some i improvement. It waa stated that l'resident Howard was attendlne to the various details and possibly would mnke an official statement upon hla return from tho East within tho next ten days. The company's recent purchase of land gives It a total of nbout 100 acres. I Tho plant waa materially enlarged previous pre-vious to the fire, which destroyed some of tho stills a year or more ago and which were later replaced, and the proposed pro-posed new addition, It Is stated, will utmost double the present capacity of the plant. Both the Midwest Mid-west and the Utah Oil companies have holdings In the Salt Creek field. Tho Utah company already has two producing produc-ing wells in the field and equipment, now Is being moved to the field for the purpose of drilling two other wells. |
