Show FIVE INJURED IN AUTO ACCIDENT AT AMERICAN FORK Special to The Tribune. PROVO, Aug. 17. Five persons were injured when two automobiles collided on tho road between Pleasant Grove and American Fork yesterday afternoon. after-noon. The accident occurred when a northbound ear, driven by Miss Edna Holdaway of Provo, who was accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Jessie Clavson, also of Provo, turned to the left side of the road to pass a wagon going in the same direction. Before it could get back to the right side of the road a large car driven by Alonzo Nnv, 21 vears old, collided with them, with' the result that Mrs. Melissa Nay. mother of the driver of the southbound south-bound ear, was seriously cut about the head and face, and Mr. Nay sustained a dislocated wrist. Mrs. Ed Jenkins of Salt Lake, who was riding with Mrs. Nay and her son, w-as bruised, but her injuries were less serious than the others. Mrs. Nay and her son are residents of Centerfield, and were on their way to visit A. A. Brown of Springville. They are at the residence of Mr. Brown and are said to be recovering. Miss Holdaway and Mrs. Clayson were badly shaken and bruised, though their injuries are said to be only slight. |
