Another demand to bo presented to the director, general of railroads is that all r oal burning locomotives In road service weighing 1100,000 pounds and over shall bo equipped with mechanical stokers and that two firemen shall be omployed on all such locomotives until they are so equipped. In freight service on engtnes weighing less than 200,000 pounds firemen shall be paid $6.ti0 and on engines weighing over 20.000 pounds. ?8.S0 per day of 100 miles or lesn, overtime to be computed on present pres-ent basis, at a speed of twelve and one-half one-half miles an hour. Firemen and holpers employed in local or wav freight service, mixed trains, mine runs and other service shall be paid a minimum of 60 cents per 100 miles or less In addition to the through freight rates. Kiremen employed on helpor, pusher, transfer work, wreck, construction, snow plow, circus, milk and all other trains in unclassified service shall be paid the through freight rates according to class of engine used. Firemen employed on Mallet engines In all service, except yard service, shall be paid ST. DO per day for 100 miles or less.
