Show TWO AUTOMOBILES ARE WRECKED ON FARMINGTON ROAD Ten persons were slightly injured early vesterdav morning in two crashes on the Farmlngion road. The first occurred at 1:30 o'clock when an automobile driven by Ray Sullivan. 769 Emerson avenue rolled over three times one-fourth of a mile north of the sheriff's blockhouse. Charles McPhee, VI Smith apartments sustained two fractured ribs and Miss Marie Har-vev. Har-vev. 17 West Seventh South street suffered suf-fered face lacerations as a result of the mishap. Miss Ethel McLain, 819 West Sixth South street, Ray Sullivan and Miss Katherine Burns. 819 South Sixth East street, escaped with severe bruises. Sullivan declares he was blinded by the glare of light from an automobile going in the opposite direction and drove off the concrete to avert an accident. In turning hack to the road the front wheels struck the edge of the concrete, causing the car to overturn. According to Deputy Sheriff W M. Hughes, who investigated the accident, ac-cident, the fact that the victims were riding In a closed car undoubtedly saved their lives. R. R. Brooks, on his way to tow m the Sullivan car an hour later, drove his automobile au-tomobile into a hayrack carrying a party of roung folks, who were on a watermelon bust." J. Duffield. 430 North Fifth West street. Eliza Teter, 342 Seventh East street, Aleen James. Roy Smith of Elko. Nev.. and A. J. Raleigh were injured, the last named suffering deep -lacerations about the fa'-e and head. Brooks declared he drove off the road to avoid a collision. |
