Show OIL AND MINING MEN PLAN UNION Official announcement has been made of the fact that a meeting of the California chaptpf of the American Mining congress will be held in San Francisco, opening' October 23. One of the principal objects of this session is to secure a closer-union all operators in the so-called "wasting" industries, this including both mining and oil production. The American Petroleum and Transport company of Washington is sending out a letter to all oil operators, commenting upon the need for united action In all phases of .the mining industry and expressing ex-pressing the belief that a great national organization, in which the producers of metals, oil, gas and coal may co-operate, wij solve some of the most pressing problems hat are now presented. A. B. Carstensen. manager of the Montana-Wyoming OilV-ompany. with headquarters head-quarters in Salt Lake, a director in the Independent Oil producers' association of Lpfi Angeles, is in receipt of a communl' cation from the oi organisation committee commit-tee of this body, in which attendance at the meeting of the mining congress in San Francisco 9 urged, In order that the various interests may got together and agree upon some common bas for action. |
