Fighting men in the service of Great Britain have a variety of mascots, but a noted airman, who has brought down many Hun planes and has long been prominent at the front, is believed to have the most novel mascot of all. This airman's mascot is an owl the traditional embodiment of wisdom which accompanies him on all his flights and which has never given evidence of the slightest fear. |
