Show k SCENES AT THE SANPETE COUNTY FAIR AT MANTI Sfegp : ; 1 F r ' ' ! l Falls The auto display of the Seely-Hiuckley Auto company attracted much f avorahle comment and incidentally did big business for this firm. One of the distinctive features at the Sanpete county fair was the splendid display dis-play of the Seely-Hinckley Auto company. This enterprising firm of Mt. Pleasant. Utah, exhibited an interesting array of Nationals. Buicks. Oldsmobiles. Dodge Bros. cars, and the well-known Parrett tractors; They also exhibited two racing Buicks, one a four-cylinder 1913 model 40, which had run 125.000 miles before having been cut down as a racing car. This car cleaned up all competition on the Manti track and made it impossible for the Buick D45, six-cylinder racing car, which was entered later, to secure a.ny competition whatever. Mr. Robert H. Hinckley of this firm is enthusiastic about the outlook for sales in Sanpete county. There is a distinct demand for the medium-priced cars. At the Sanpete county fair the Parrett Par-rett tractor provoked a great deal of favorable attention and a number of sales were recorded. The vast expanse of grain lands, and particularly the farm areas, offer splendid opportunity for the ue of tractors. - "Things never looked better." said Mr. Hinckley last night, "for our business. We expect to have a record run during the coming spring. Sanpete county covers a large area, and communications not being the best, people will naturally depend de-pend on automobiles for service. We are doing everything that can be done to improve our roads, which will function materially in the sale of cars. The farmers farm-ers in this region are becoming converted to the use of tractors for agricultural purposes, which, of course, makes us optimistic, indeed, in this direction." |
