Show PLAN TO CO-ORDINATE DEPARTMENT LABORS For the purpose of enlarpinp the scope of the activities of the department of labor, and to ro-ordtnatc the various organizations or-ganizations in the state, Charles M. Raymond, Ray-mond, national organizer, has arrived In Salt Lake. Mr. Raymond's work will Ho principally in the perfecting of the state organization, that it may function readily at all times, and that tho surplus labor of one section sec-tion or st-ate may be easily utilized in another an-other place where a scarcity of labor exists. ex-ists. The government, Mr. Raymond declared. de-clared. In addition to taking care of the present labor situation, is creating a machine ma-chine that will be able to intelligently dispose of the accumulation of men who gather on the Atlantic seaboard at the termination of the war. Another feature of the labor situation that will receive much attention is the woman's division. In the event that the entire manpower of the nation is needed in the war, Mr. Raymond declared, that the department will be in close touch with the large number of woman volunteers, vol-unteers, who will be ready to take the place of the men. |
