Show INFLUENZA VICTIM DIES AT LAYTON Special to The Tribune. LAYTON, Oct. 19. Following an illness ill-ness of two weeks, Mrs. FrecK Rice of T.ayton died tonight as a result of pneumonia, pneu-monia, which developed from an attack of Spanish influerza. She was formerly Kiss Daisy Bills of Rivcrton, and was 23 years old. Her husband and her year-old year-old son. Lavoy, are also seriously ill with influenza, while another child, 1 month old, has thus far escaped the disease. Mrs. William J. Thornley of Layton received re-ceived word yesterday of the death of her brother, Jared Dixon, at Fort Logan, Colo., near Denver. He died of pneumonia, pneumo-nia, following an attack of influenza, it Is said. Another brother of Mrs. Thornley. Abel J. Dixon, died last Tuesday at Morgan, Utah, from the samo malady. |
