Show SET CASE AGAINST SALT LAKE COUNTY William Forsyth -Charges Willful Discrimination Dis-crimination in Compelling Him to Pay Excess Taxes. Trial of the suit brought' bv William Forsyth against Salt Lake county to recover re-cover $ii7.15, claimed to be the amount of taxes computed upon an alleged excess assessment of $ool0, has been set for March 12. Mr. Forsyth alleges that the eountv wilfully discriminated against him for tho purpose of compelling him to bear more than, his just proportion of taxes. Ho says the 1917 assessment on certain real property of which he is the owner was $18,000. $SSH in excess of the 1!fi appraisement. No su-h increase in the actual valuation of the property in nus-tion nus-tion has occurred, according to the allegation alle-gation of the plaintiff. The county's answer, recently filed, denies de-nies that the appraisement was excessive exces-sive or that any discrimination has been practiced against Mr. Forsyth. The county contends that the assessment is reasonable and just as comnared with the appraisemen t of other property in t he county.
