Show TWO PRISONERS ON WAY FROM TEXAS FOR INTERNMENT According to advices received last night from El Paso, Texas, the federal officials in that district are becoming very active. There are two German prisoners on the way from El Paso to this city for internment intern-ment in the war compound at Fori Douglas. i Frederick Charles TVissenhach, who has been temporarily held at Fort Bliss for investigation, was started on his way to the lowal prison yesterday. While the federal fed-eral authorities have not yet disclosed the charges against Wissenbaeh, it is known 1 that he is a graduate of Heidelberg university, uni-versity, Germany. He says he has applied for naturalization papers. He also was a candidate for holy order in the Episcopal Episco-pal church when taken into custody. The other prisoner, also on his way to Fort Douglns from El Paso, is Carl Hentzchell. He is reported to formerly have heen a German naval officer. His activities since the declaration of war have been under scrutiny of the bureau of investigation of the department of justice, jus-tice, and have been of a character to warrant his internment in the war prison for the period of the war. |
