Show m m chief OE H.1UTHLCTICS Board of Control Has Election; Elec-tion; Football Added to Sports List. A special meeting of the coaches and principals of the Utah High School Athletic Ath-letic association was held yesterday afternoon after-noon to do some of the preliminary work scheduled for the regular meeting this afternoon. Officers were also elected for the board of control. James E. Moss of the Murray high school was re-elected president and C. , Oren Wilson of the Salt Lake East high yu continue in the position of secretary-LMsurer secretary-LMsurer of the association. F the southern division of the state, Roy Homer of Cedar City will be the representative. T. W. Bennion will represent repre-sent the Sanpete-Sevier division, L. H. Peterson of the B. Y. U. will represent the Nebo division and J. W. Walker the Alpine division. For the Salt Lalce division. di-vision. Wid Ashton of Granite was chosen to succeed O. S. Justinson, and J. W. Peters was re-elected for the northern division. di-vision. The only amendment to the present bylaws by-laws of the association was that football be added to the sports controlled by the board. It was also decided that this sport would be divided into two sections in the state the northern and southern divisions. divi-sions. The winning teams of each of these divisions will play each other fp decide the state high school championship. The meeting today will be held at the Hotel Utah at S o'clock a. m. on the mezzanine floor. |
