Mr. Ley sou xvas at once removed to the hospital, where an operation was performed per-formed upon him by Dr. R. A. Kowdle of Ely. who is said lo hold out but little hope of his recovery. Mr. I.eyson is the son of Mrs. IT. "W. Davis of this city, and Mrs. Davis, accompanied ac-companied by Dr. nion Wortlunglon and a trained nurse, lei I at 11:55 last night for Ely.
