Show FINDS GOOD ORE IN MINE NEAR TOWN A recent issue of the Wood River Daily News-Miner, Hailey, Idaho, says: "William Sowden, the pioneer business man and mine owner of Eellevue, was in the city between trains yesterday. lie brought up and placed on display in the show window of Brownelt Bros.' store a fine sample of ore weighing 150 pounds. The ore was taken from a shaft at a depth of 1 -'D feet from the surface on Mr. Sowden's New York group of claims, just west of the river opposite Eellevue. The group consists of three claims, the Plymouth. New York Nos. 1 and 2, and upon which. Mr. Sowden has spent considerable con-siderable money in development. The specimen shows that it was taken from a large body of ore. The ore carries good values in gold, silver, lead and other metals. "This property, lying so near the former for-mer large producers, the Minnie Moore and Queen of the Hills, may develop into a big proposition." |
