Show ATTACK PROCEEDINGS ON TAKING CABLES NEW YORK. Dec. 21. The government resorted to tho federal court here today to bring about a dismissal of the injunction in-junction proceedings begun by the Commercial Com-mercial Cable company and the Commercial Com-mercial Pacific Cable company against Postmaster General Burleson 'and New-comb New-comb Carlton to prevent government ownership of the cables owned by these companies. Harold Harper, an assistant federal attorney, at-torney, filed a motion attacking the jurisdiction juris-diction of the court because the cables wore taken over by President Wilson in furtherance of the war power conferred on him by congress. Argument upon .Mr. Harper's motion was set for December 27. |
