Show CLUB'S ACTIVITIES WILL BE ADVERTISED Chaplain Fitzgerald Wants New Men to Ge Benefits of Entertainment. En-tertainment. In order that the constantly changing personnel of the enlisted force at Fort Douglas may be kept informed as to the attractions and conveniences afforded by the Enlisted Men's Army club, in the Bamberger building on Main street, Edward Ed-ward H. Fitzgerald, chaplain of the war prison company and In char? ft of the army club, is having notices prepared to be posted in the orderly rooms of all trie company organizations in the post. The chaplain finds that so many new men are coming into the regiments constantly con-stantly and there are so many changes in the personnel of the companies that many men do not know of the club and the conveniences it affords to soldiers who desire to visit the city and want to find a place where they can make themselves them-selves at home and enjoy their time. The notices contain the information thai the club Is located on the third floor of t ho Bamberger building at 161 Main street: that it is a club for enlisted men of the United States army stationed at Fort Douglas, and that here the eokiler may find reading and writing "rooms, with papers, books, magazines, billiard tables, chess and other games, a pianola, a grufonola and various other means of amusement. It is explained in the notices that the membership is absolutely free and the club is open for use of the soldiers every day from 3 to 10 p. m. and on Sundays and holidays from noon until 10 p. m. Chaplain Fitzgerald Is urging the men to make use of the club freely and frequently. |
