Show ARTILLERYMEN HAVE SABBATH AT HOMES Men to Have Regular Drill Work Fending Fend-ing Order to Entrain for Camp Kearny. The USth field artillery (First Utah) is still marking time out at the temporary camp south of the Fort Douglas reservation, reserva-tion, waiting fur the long delayed order to proceed to Camp Kearny, Linda Vista, Cal. In the meantime many of the officers and enlisted men yesterday availed themselves of the opportunity to see more of their kinfolk before leaving for the scene of intensive training. As usual. Sunday was a homo holiday. All the men who could be spared were relieved re-lieved last Saturday at noon, the period of their stay from duty lasting, until 11 o'clock last night. With no hiking orders in prospect for several day f. the regiment will rosumo active training this week. Field maneuvers, mounted gun practice prac-tice and drills will be in order. It is anticipated that many of the men will entertain relatives and friends from their home towns while the state fair and conference nm on. All visitors will be welcome at the camp and a squad of men will ho detailed to show them around. Visitors who happen to arrive at the camp during the- hour when gun maneuvering maneu-vering is on will witness scenes similar to those that happen on the field of battle. |
