Show ACCUSED TRIO ARE DETAINED IN JAIL I. W. W. Suspects Held Incommunicado; Incommuni-cado; Callers Refused Chance at Interview. The three members of the I. W. W., H. A. Giltner, Charles McKinnon and Fred C. Rltter, who were arrested Saturday by agents of the federal government, are held at the county jail incommunicado. Although a large number of visitors called at the jail yesterday and asked to see the men. none were allowed to talk with them. The jailer was emphatic in his refusals, saying that the men were federal prisoners and could not be seen without a permit from the department of justice. One woman called with a supply of tobacco and cigarettes for the men, but even this solace was denied, the jailer refusing to accept the smoking materials. ma-terials. Neither the county officials nor Leon Bone, special agent for the department of .justice, had been notified yesterday as "to whether the men had retained an attorney to look after their cases. Since the headquarters of the organization in Chicago has employed a staff of legal talent, it was thought that the Salt lake prisoners will rely on these to defend them. |
