Show Max rigman, Well-known Comedian, Comes to Salt Lake Theater With "Nothing but the Truth." A YOUNG man somewhat conscience-stricken conscience-stricken by the sharp practices of the stock brokerage business in which he is engaged, makes a bet with three as- ' sociates that he can tell the truth, and j nothing but the truth, for twentv-four hours running. They then try in all manner of ways to make him tell a lie, but he steadfastly adheres to the truth and eventually wins the bet. This is the main theme of James Montgomery's Mont-gomery's farce taken from Frederick Tsham's novel, "Nothing But the Truth," which Anderson & Weber will offer of-fer at the Salt Lake theater on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday next, with the well-known comedian. Max Figman, in the title role. Mr. FIgman will be remembered for his clever work in "The Man on the Box," and it is said that the role of the young stock broker is one, if not the best of Mr. Figman's career as a comedian. Tho management has surrounded him with a carefully selected cast of metropolitan favorites. |
