PETROLEUM COMPANY HOLDINGS We are informed that wells are being drilled, or preparations made to drill wells, by companies and operators on properties adjoining Casper-Embar Petroleum Company holdings hold-ings as follows: ' lWestern Exploration Company, reported controlled by the Midwest Company. 2 Jupiter Company and Heela-Wyoming, joint account. 3 Tobin Interests. 4Tyestern Exploration Company and at least six more operators are also drilling here or preparing to drill. POWDER RIVER GEOLOGY (a) U S. Geological Survey Bulletin No. 471, 1910, Carroll Wegemann, contains: "The ( area under consideration" (Powder River Dome), "in townships 40, 41, 42 north, range 81 west and portions in adjoining townships," "The whole structure is a duplicate ot the anticline at Salt Creek." Note At the time of this report there was no production from Salt Creek. At the present time a production estimated at 30,000 barrels per day is coming from Salt Creek. . " , ., ,., , , . , (b) Petroleum series, Bulletin No. 4, University of Wyoming, April, 1901, by the late Wilbur C. Knight: "This field" (Powder River Dome) "must be considered one of the best in Wyoming. The structural features are ideal." (c) Geological report, June 6, 1917, J. W. Hudson, California Geologist, contained: f "I consider the Great Powder River Dome a perfect structure, enjoying the advantages of shallow territorv, inexpensive drilling, fine natural physical conditions. I can see no reason rea-son why the dome should not develop into a very prolific oil field." (d) Geological report, July 16, 1916, by Dr. Howard Evans Elliott: I consider the Tisdale Dome" (local name for Powder River Dome) "the most perfect structure and worthy of development. There is not a single record of failure in Wyoming where a perfect dome structure has been drilled with proper geological conditions existing as they do upon this structure ' ' '(e)' Bulletin No. 12, State Geologist of Wyoming, L. W. Trumbull, contains: "Up to the present time every structure drilled" (in Wyoming) "has proved to be a reservoir." OFFICERS The President, Colonel Sam Ifewhouse of Salt Lake City. The Consulting Field Manager, Sid Keoughan. I Mr Keoughan has probably enjoyed more success in directing the drilling of Wyoming oil wells' than any other oil well contractor. King, U S. senate, we are informed constitute the attorneys who will act as counsel for the company. PURPOSES OF THE COMPANY It is the aim of the company to develop the maximum of oil production flora the extensive ex-tensive oil lands now owned or later acquired on Ihe great Powder River Dome, in the state of Wyoming, and extend operations from time to time as deemed progressive and advisable ad-visable and for these purposes the proceeds from the sale of the present treasury stock of-fered of-fered will be used. DRILLING OPERATIONS . . We are informed the company is planning the immediate drilling of wells, sites for which are now being selected by the operating and geological heads. We anticipate the Casper-Embar Petroleum Company will shortly rank among the heaviest drillers in the field. We furthermore expect wells will be drilled in record time and at minimum cost.
