Show EIGHT MAILS FROM EAST ARTDljE TODAY Trains Tied Up in Wyoming Wyo-ming Since January 26 Break Blockade. "Dispatches from Laramie, "Wyo., laet nigltt reported an announcement by Union 1 Pacific railroad officials that the worst snow blockade in the history of the road was broken. At '" o'clock it was announced that one tnick between Rock River and Tin una. had been cleared and that the movement of trains h;ul begun. More than twenty trains, some of which Wt Chicago Tuesday, have been held at Hanna and Laramie since last Friday. 10. K. Calvin, president of the road, joined other prominent officials at Laramie Lara-mie yesterday and engaged in an effort to relieve the situation. Approximately eight eastern malls carried car-ried by trains Nns. IS. and 1. are due to arrive in Salt Lake this morning at ? o'clock. These trains are carrying about oM' sacks of mall. According to the local superintendent of mails, if all these mail trains come into Salt Uike at once, a delay will be necessitated neces-sitated in the distribution of the ma.il. The overdue mall will ho handled by the regular working force at the postofftce working overtime. In case, however, the trains arrive at intervals, a more even service in the distribution dis-tribution by the office will result. |
