Show JENSON IS WHIPPING , AGGIES INTO SHAPE i Special to The Tribune. LCKIAN". Jan. 2S. The Aggie basket-hall basket-hall men put hi a strenuous week at basket bas-ket ha 11 and are improving slowly. According Ac-cording to Coach Jenson, they lieve yet to develop considerably. Jenson has been drilling them in every department of the ;anie, especially teamwork, and says they havo yet to grasp some more points. The candidates for the team are working hard, however, and Jenson is pleased with their willingness and Is in hopes that they will keep It up. During the past week every man on tho squad took his turn playing on the main team, a nd in this way the players will be selected for positions on the college col-lege five. From the playing last week a number of ca ndidates worked themselves them-selves closer to a berth on the team. Among those who will make up the team are Kapple. Cox. McKay. Smith, McMul-lin. McMul-lin. Twitchel, Yoorhecs, Evans, Neeley, Tut tie and Gardenar. During tlie week Clyde Worley, late of the Last high school. Salt X.ake. joined tho sepjad and will register at the Agricultural Agri-cultural college the coming week. Wor-lev Wor-lev was selected for the position of tackle on the' a II -sta te scholastic foot ball team, and also played on Tommy Fitzpa trick's basketball team up to the lime he came to Loga n. At the B . Y . C . . Coach K n a p p is optimistic op-timistic over the prospects for a successful success-ful season. 1 lis tea.m was rounded into form by Coach Jenson and Knapp has but to keep up tlie work of keeping the hoys in trim. The "Y" will play a lighter svhedulp of games this year, which is an advantage, as most of the men are young and inexperienced, although they show much class. |
