Show CONVENTION HEARS MANY ADDRESSES j The annual farmers' and housekeepers' convention or Pa vis county-, in connection connec-tion with the Davis county high school, held its third day of jubilation yester-uav. yester-uav. State Senator Richard Strlngham addressed ad-dressed the convention on the legislation affecting Davis county. David F. Smith, chairman of the county hoard of commissioners, commis-sioners, spoke on the marketing of farm products. Charles R. Mabey talked on the business development of Davis county. J. H. Manderfield of Salt Dake, general manager of the Union Stock Yards company, com-pany, spoke on the packing- industry. The growth of the sugar industry was discussed dis-cussed by James Ellison. John R. Barnes spoke on canning. Dr. Charles G. Plum-mer Plum-mer addressed the women's section on the subject of nursing. Excellent musical programmes were given. The convention, which has been exceptionally well attended, will close j Friday. j |
