Show CORN IS FED TO SHEEP IN NEVADA According to advices received by members mem-bers of the state board of sheep commissioners com-missioners yesterday, the sheep on the winter ranges in Nevada are doing exceptionally ex-ceptionally well despite the adverse weather conditions. The report states that the snow Is not unusually troublesome, but that the intense in-tense cold, which is not usually experi-I experi-I enced on the desert, is far from conducive con-ducive to the welfare of the sheep. W. H. O'Neil and James P. O'Neil. who have large sheep Interests in White Pine county, are going to the great expense ex-pense of feeding large quantities of corn to their flocks, and their example is being be-ing followed by other growers. The sheep soon learn to prefer the corn to other diet. Cotton seed meal is also being fed in some Instances, and it is this investment in food products which is keeping down losses to the average expectations. |
