Coach Norgren's University of Utah quintette si jo wed some improvement last night' in their game with the Western Arms five, winning by a score of 49 to 3S, but their playing is still below the form that must be displayed to repeat the performance of lai year's assrtsfUion. The university boys led during most of the game and were 'not particularly hard pressed, though they did not show any decisive superiority. The score at the end of the first period stood IS to 10 for the college players. Happy Van Pelt displayed his id skill in casing the bail, nine of the field baskets bas-kets coming as a result of his efforts. Ploiuly Thorn rn came second with five. Chipman, Williams and Greenwood were the iiih point winners for the losers. Western Arms team was without the iwfprvioes of Austin Miller and Evan Taylor.
