King, who has been employed em-ployed for some time as mining publicity man by the "Western News Bureau and J as associate editor for its local pnblica- tion, the Mining, Oil & Industrial Record, Rec-ord, left last night for Pittsburg, Pa., ! where he expects to engage in the mining publicity business for some time in con- ; nection with O. B. Price & Co. I In his publicity work in the east, Mr. I King will be connected with strong west- ern mining interests and big financial ; eastern interests and expects to see some ! substantial mining deals consummated i and some important mining operations : launched as a result of these connections. ; Certain Salt Lake interests, declares : Mr. King, are in touch with eastern cap- . ita! in a way to presage events in the west which the public will hear about ; later. "Unquestionably," said Mr. King, "this ' will be one of the greatest mining years in the history of this country, despite war rumors, as it will be marked by the beginning of a decline in war features ; and the commencement of a great influx ; of capital into mining as the most al- i , luring field that presents itself to the investor in-vestor at this time." Mr. King considers Pittsburg, the center cen-ter of those mighty industries that have coined billions out of the war, as one ' of the best points of operation for the I representatives of western mining. |
