Show RED AND BLACK TO BE OFFICIAL ORGAN The Red and Black will continue to be the official paper of the West and East high schools. The student council of t he Associated Ptudents West, following a talk by Supervising Principal George A. Katon, decided to retain the magazine as representa tive of both schools, a I -though Mr. Ha ton stated that he would not stand in the way of the West high school if th.e students desired an indi-: indi-: vidual publication. ! Mr. Fa ton talked for nearly an hour on the history of the Red and Black and I told how it was the chief factor in hoid-I hoid-I ing the East and West high schools together. to-gether. In his closing words he stated that he would be very sorry if the two schools parted in regard to the Red and Black, but would not stand In the way of t'nis move if the student council deemed it wise. A short discussion by the student council coun-cil following Mr. Eaton's talk was held and most of the members were in hearty accord with Mr. Eaton's wishes to have the Red and Black for both schools. They decided to have Mr. Eaton act as supervisor. super-visor. The resignation of Albert Warden, former for-mer editor in chief, was accepted and an election for a new editor will be held in the near future at the West institution. |
