Show Bill'S WATER SUPPLYMSe Business Men, Farmers and City Officials Decide on Relief Measures. Special to The Tribune. BRIGHAM . CITY, Feb. 7. Brigham City's future wate supply was openly discussed last night at a meeting held in the Commercial club and attended by prominent business men, farmers and the city officials. The various phases of the situation were gone into and it was the general sentiment of those present that something must be done soon to relieve 1 the present water shortage, especially for culinary purposes. During the meeting several feasible propositions were brought to the attention atten-tion of the citizens, and it appears that the different sources of water supply are all available at this time, but each re- , quires a large expenditure of money. This matter brought out the bonding question. 1 and this matter was thoroughly discussed with the result that the meeting went on record as favoring the issuance of bonds for procuring a better water supply. The matter of buying a number of second feet of water in the Hammond canal and having laterals of that irrigating system extended to Brigham was thoroughly j discussed. A committee composed of B. C. Call, Sperry W. Lawson and Leroy I B. Young was named to ascertain the then reselling it. The matter of trans-fering trans-fering water from the big fields for cu- Unary purposes and exchanging a like amount from the proposed canal exten- j sion was placed in the hands of Engineer En-gineer C. O. Roskelley, K. C Wright and Councilman R. A. Madsen to investigate and report at a meeting to be held later.
