Show OGGEN TO CELESTE WDODRDW WILSOfi DAY Big Barbecue Will Be a Feature of the Event; Rally at Night. Special to The Tribune. OGDEN, Oct. 27. Members .of the Democratic campaign committee in charge of the Woodrow Wilson day celebration cele-bration in this city tomorrow, amiouuced tonight that every arrangement which was possible to make at this time had 0,H.ei completed in preparation for the day's events. The celebration will start at noon with a barbecue on Hudson avenue, ave-nue, and conclude with a rally in the Alhamhra theater at night. The feast preparations were considered consid-ered well on their way tonight, when four chefs of the Pullman cdmpany employed em-ployed on the Oregon Short lline railroad rail-road placed two beeves in the huge gas ovens on Uudson avenue. Under direction direc-tion of the four expert cooks, the meat will be roasted until 11 o'clock tomorrow. tomor-row. Five hundred loaves of bread, a harrel of pickles and other food supplies sup-plies have been provided for the feast, which will be served at 1 : MO o'clock. ' At 1:30 o'clock M. P. Brown, candidate candi-date for commissioner on the local county coun-ty ticket, will preside at an open-air meeting, at which the speakers will be Simon Bamberger and Brigham H. "Roberts. "Rob-erts. Another big feature of the day's celebration will be staged at 7 o'clock in the form of a peace parade, in which more than 1000 persons are expected to take part. The parade line will form at the post office on Twenty-fourth street and disband at the Alhambra theater after traversing the business district. The theater meeting will be opened at 8 o 'clock. Seats will be reserved for the marchers, because it is feared that, the seating capacity of the building will not accommodate all desiring to be present. The principal speech of the evening will be delivered by Mr. Roberts, Rob-erts, but Mr. Bamberger and possibly other of the candidates on t he state ticket will make brief talks. The chairman chair-man of the evening meeting has not been announced. |
