Show Charged With Battery. Special to The Tribune. OGDEN, Oct. 27. On complaint of Ben j Jacnbsen, a Twenty-fifth street clothing merchant, William Woodfork, colored porter at the Staker barber shop, was on ' trial in Judge George S. Barker's court .his morning, charged with battery. ,Ta-'cobsen ,Ta-'cobsen testified that the negro struck !iim on the lel't cheek bone "with something some-thing that felt like a piece of iron." He al:o charged that the assault had been "framed up" by his business neighbors. As Jarobsen's witnesses were not present, pres-ent, the case was continued until Monday morning. |
