Show HELD FOR OFFICERS FROM KANSAS CITY Jack Howard, Joe Kenney and Harvey Har-vey Patton, arrested in connection with the raids made by the police Thursday following the discovery of a large quantity quan-tity of drugs said to have been stolen from a Kansas City drug store, will remain re-main in jail here pending the arrival of officers to take Ihem to Kansas City for trial on a charge of burglary. Such was the statement made yesterday by J. Parley White, chief of police. Harry Allen and Edna Wilson, who were arrested with Howard and Patton at the Belmont hotel, are being held on an open charge. Kenney was arrested with eleven messenger mes-senger boys at Bean's messenger office, fi3 Midway avenue. He is alleged to have organized the messenger boys to peddle narcotics to men and women of the underworld. The narcotics have been identified by the police as being : stolen from the Kansas City firm. I Chief White Baid that the messenger : boys would be charged with having drugs in their possession. Bail was fixed j in amounts ranging from $300 to $500,' but all the boys remain in jail. |
