ATHLETIC AWARDS TO BE PRESENTED TODAY East and West Athletes to Get Sweaters and Jerseys f or Their Work. Athletes of the rst nd Vest hitrh schools will be riven their awards this forenoon at the West high school. Men who have won their letter in foot-hall, foot-hall, basketball, baseball and track during dur-ing the 1915-1916 school year and those of the East high who won their letter during the 1914-1915 season will also , be rewarded. In baseball one must play nine in-, in-, ninjjs, in foot bull and basketball two full halves, and in track must win a j first in the division meet or a place in I the state meet. For football and bas-j bas-j kctball sweaters will be given, while in 1 track and baseball jerseys are the a words. Thoe who are serving their second year in any one brack of sport will have a bar placed on the sleeve. Four-letter men are more' numerous this year than in the past. From the West high school there are Lester Jar-vis Jar-vis and Stanley Johnson, while the Leopards boast of Lee Prouse and Glenni Brown. Tho East and West baseball clubs will play following the presentation. It will be the fifth contest between the two nines this season. Among other stunts will be the "H,J club initiation. The new letter Panthers are: Allen ('oak wright, Arthur Leonard, Frank Mclianney, Jack Vignetto, "Vernal Funk, James Brown, Ralph Brown and Howard How-ard Staines.
