The Dutch authorities are not altogether satisfied sat-isfied that the steamship Batavier V, whinh was blown up in the North sea with the loss of four lives, was sunk by ( a mine Thev have ordered an examination examina-tion of the ship by divers to establish the cause of the disaster. The death of Luici Manclni. an American Ameri-can citizen, at Hoswell, N. M-. Is something some-thing of a mvstery, as he was provided with a life belt. It is assumed, however, that he was hit by wreckage or drawn down bv suction. None of the survivors saw any trace ot a submarine.
