Show WELL-KNOWN WRITER SUES FOR. DIVORCE Second Matrimonial Venture of Jessie Emerson Bailey Proves a Hollow Mockery. COLUMBUS, O., Sept. 18. Jessie Emerson Bailey, who under her former namo of Jessie Emerson Moft'att is a well known writer of short stories, has filed suit in tho Franklin county courts through hor attorneys for a divorce from Frank Duncan Bailey of London, England, to whom 6hc was married in Now York City, Juno 8, 3913. While Mrs. Bailoy is making her legal home in Columbus at present her husband is in Seattle, Wash. In her petition Mrs. Bailey avers that while her husband represented himself him-self as a man of superior habits and exemplary conduct beforo their marriage, mar-riage, subsequent events proved that he was without such characteristics. Tho plaintiff is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward "Randolph Emerson and was born in Fredonia, N. Y August Au-gust 22. 18S0. She was first married to Joseph Alphous Moffatt Soptombei 33, 1898. Tt is from her second marriage mar-riage that sho is seeking relief in Columbus. Sho is a member of tho Woman '- Press club of New York City and ha been a prosiderit of tho New Yorkers' club of Now York. |
