Show II QUE REPORT MIES Mill Increase of Over $1,000,000 in Total Revenues; Business Busi-ness of Western Pacific. DENVER, Sept. 13. Gross operating revenues aggregating $24,452,964.86, a new high record for the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad company, are shown by the annual report for the fiscal year ending Juno 30, 1913, made public today. to-day. This is an increase of $1,172,-561.97, $1,172,-561.97, or 5.04 per cent over tho total revenues for the fiscal year, 1912, amounting to $23,280,402.89. The total operating expenses were $17,047,172.01 for 1913, compared with $16,984,517.62 for 1912, an increase of $62,654.30, or 3.7 per cent. In tho operating expenses the maintenance main-tenance of way and structures shows the greatest increase, due largely to improvements im-provements made over Soldier summit in Utah and in the vicinity of Tennessee Ten-nessee pass in Colorado. The net income for 1913 was $2,094,-179.66, $2,094,-179.66, as compared with $1,144,763.33, an increase of $949,416.33, or 82.94 per cent. A statement by President B. P. Bush contains a summary of the revenue and expenses of the Western Pacific railway, rail-way, placing tho net operating income for 1913 at $1,405,061.82, compared with $815,821.08 for 1912, an increaso of $5S9,240.74. After making debitB in accordance with regulations of the interstate in-terstate commerce commission amounting amount-ing to $345,5S'5.99 for 1913 and $251,-607.02 $251,-607.02 for 1912, tho surplus for tho Western Pacific is $l,0o9,475.83 for 1913, an increaso of $495,261.77 over that for the year previous, amounting to $504,214.06. |
