Sept. 13, Taxpayers in Boise must pay a hlghor rata of taxation this year than last, according to tho report re-port submitted by tho llnanco committee commit-tee to tho city council. Tho report fixes the 1913 rate at 7.05 mills on a basis of approximately $20,500,000 valuation. It is estimated that $202,716 will bo needed to meet tho expenses of tho coming year. Last year tho tax rate of thla city was 10 mills on a 40 per cent valuation, which Is oqunl to C.4 mills on a 100 pur cent valuation, as is the caso this year. The city's expenses are higher this year than thoy wore last.
