Show MOUNTAINS VISITED BY SNOWFALL Reports received by the city engineer yesterday from the various "points in the near-by mountains are to the effect that the snowfall during the last few days is the heaviest recorded so early in the season for many years. At Brighton, in Big Cottonwood canyon, can-yon, where a dam is being built for the city on Lake Phoebe, two feet of snow fell Saturday night and Sunday, hampering hamper-ing the work greatly. It is expected that uiilcss better weather sets In immediately tho work on the dam will have to be abandoned for the winter. In Parleys canyon more than a foot of snow fell and all along the mountain range the fall varied between one foo't ami three feet. On the top of City Creek canyon a heavy fall was reported. |
