Show DEADLOCK AT DUBLIN SAID TO BE COMPLETE DUBLIN, Ireland, Oct. C The deadlock dead-lock between the employers and the striking strik-ing transport workers here is complete and there seems to bo no prospect of an Immediate settlement of the dispute. Sir George Askwlth, the official "strikebreaker." "strike-breaker." and his fellow commissioners of tho board of trade, submitted to both sides this morning a set of proposals to form the basis of direct negotiations between be-tween the disputants. These proposals woro accepted by the men, but the employers em-ployers refused to agree. The report of the commissioners condemns con-demns the demand made by the employers em-ployers that the men shall undertake not to join tho transport workers union, and at the same time condemns sympathetic strikes by other workmen. In the meantime large numbers of striking farm laborers have returned to work. |
