C Benjamin Roy Spurgeon, 27 years old, was arrested and locked up tonight after police reserves had fought their way through a mob of several hundred men who were struggling to lynch the priboner. Deliberately and apparently without the slightest cause, Spurgeon tonight twice sdiot and seriously serious-ly wounded 12-year-old Dora EUroblf. as the little girl was standing in the en-tranco en-tranco of an east side moving picture houso talking to a girl friend. "I don't know why I shot the little girl," he told the police. "I don't like girls.
