The destruction of flocks and herds iu the mountains of Styria, Austria b' a pack of wolves, hyenas and lions, which escaped from a menagerie last mouth, has been so onormona that the Austrian government govern-ment has ordered the organization of an expedition to kill the wild beasts. Tho action of tho government was taken on tho petition of a number of terrified Styrian mountaineers, who ap- Sealotl personally to Emperor Francis oseph for assistance. His majesty directed di-rected the ministry of tho interior to report to him personally on the best way of exterminating the animals.
